Up for the challenge?

It's totally not a challenge for me, because I already do it on the daily.  But, it may be just the challenge you need to start your year off on the right foot.

Not everyone can get K-Love where they live (and what a shame, what a shame) but the challenge isn't just about K-Love but about giving Christian music a chance for 30 days.  Listen to it for 30 days and see if it brings any change into your life.

I know that it's changed mine.  I remember the first song that I heard on K-Love that really opened my eyes.

I believe that it was almost a year ago that I made the change from country music to Christian.  Not saying that I don't occasionally "stop by" at my old stations just to hear the latest, but 99% of the time, my car station is set to K-Love.  It's my own private worship and I think that it helps me survive my two hour daily commute. And life, in general.

A couple-few that I just love to hear are:

So that's it....are you up for the challenge?

Listen to me

I know that music on a blog is a touchy thing....some hate it, some love it.  I, personally, love it.  I don't have "background" music on here for the above reason, but music is so important to me and totally moves me.  And I mentioned before of my newly found station that I adore...the music played there (they also play it at Church ABC) moves me more than anything I've ever heard before.  So, while not everyone likes that style of music, this post may not be for you.

But, if you're bored, have some headphones hooked up, and want to hear a few songs that I'm totally in love with these days....take a listen.

Light up the sky

I mentioned a week or so ago that I was starting to listen to the Christian music station on the radio, and trying to make myself like it.  For what reason, I'm not sure.

But I felt the need to want to, so I did.

And now I can actually say that I know (some) of the music, and can actually sing along.

And you know what, the radio talk (like the DJ talk) is good.  It is positive and uplifting.  I am so happy that I made the switch.  I mean, I'll always love country music, and I do switch back and forth sometimes but overall, I prefer my new station.

So of course after hearing the music for a couple of weeks now, I have a new favorite song.  I can't hear it enough.  Well, ask me again in a couple of weeks and I'm sure it'll be played out and there will be another new favorite.  But tonight, this is what I'm singing around the house and in my car and in my shower.

Take a listen, I'll bet that you love it too.
